Wednesday 9 November - National Day of Respect

Today rail, bus and taxi commuters in Brisbane (and Australia) are encouraged to say "thank you" to public transport workers out of respect for slain bus driver Manmeet Sharma who was set alight at a Moorooka bus stop on October 28 in a horrific attack that left his Punjabi community, work colleagues and the Brisbane community in shock.

With St James College being in an inner-city location, transport workers play such a huge role in providing prompt and safe passage to our students all around Brisbane.

The simple act of saying thank you to your driver can make a difference, and will be appreciated.
