Jimmies students experience theme park physics

On Tuesday 21 February the Year 11 & 12 Physics students from St James College went to Dreamworld to study Forces and Acceleration.

Students explored centripetal forces, gravity, electricity and magnetism on some of the tallest and fastest thrill rides in the world.  Using a phone app they collected data that will be analysed back at school.

The students had a terrific day and some were still excited about it the following day.

Several students are interested in becoming engineers so it was a very valuable experience for them.
