The Adolescent Success management committee warmly invite you to join us at The Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The theme is 'Discover, Design, Drive: STEAM'.
The program brings you 3 conferences in 1
1. Principals and Aspiring Leaders conference
2. Teachers conference
3. Middle Years Student conference
Students are to join the conference on Friday 25th August for a one day keynote and concurrent workshop conference designed specifically for middle years students. Organisers have kept the price of the student registration very low in the hope that schools will find ways to send their students to this hands on and inspiring learning event, where they get to mix with the teacher and leaders and also break into their own sessions where they will learn things like robotics, 3D printing, theatre sports and dance, visual arts and leadership skills. They will get to choose their own sessions and be delegates for the day.
The Principals conference is designed specifically for school leaders and aspiring leaders and all sessions will be based on leadership skills and qualities including:
- Leading teaching and learning
- Developing self and others
- Leading improvement, innovation and change
- Leading the management of the school
- Engaging and working in the community
And finally, the Teachers conference for teachers of ALL subjects and ALL year levels of middle school. You will learn practical approaches to engaging young adolescents in learning and discover why STEAM is so important to the middle years curriculum. No matter what subject you teach, this conference is vital to the ongoing learning of all middle years teachers.
The 2017 conference is a dynamic, collaborative and inspiring event for every educator who cares about young adolescents.
