2017 Walk for Justice

This year, as with previous years, the school is raising money to support the 2018 Immersion Program. Annually some senior students are given the unique opportunity to participate in a student Immersion.  In 2018 the destination will be Cambodia. The program gives students the opportunity to be immersed in the rich culture and faith life of the Cambodian people. The aim of this experience is to enter into a relationship of solidarity and strengthen the students awareness of injustice.

Students walked around the city (approximately 10 km) – the distance many students in these developing nations would walk to and from school each day – as a symbolic gesture to show support for those with whom the school has built a long-term relationship across the globe. The money raised through this fundraising activity is vital in the ongoing work of these places is an important step in our students walking in solidarity with those living on the margins in our world.

It is expected that each student in the school fund raises $20 in the hope that as a school community, we will raise $8000. All money raised should be given to Yolanda at Student Services.
