The Rotary Club of Fortitude Valley and St James College are pleased to present this year’s Jimmies Art Show, art competition.

The theme is My School, My Community, My Country, chosen to explorethe way in which we experience and think about our physical and cultural surroundings and tell stories through the making of art.
The exhibition will take place in the St James Ba-ra Barimi Centre on Friday 3 November 2017 from 5.00 pm to 8.00pm with presentations at 7.00pm.

Work must be submitted to the college office or Art rooms by the 26th October. Work may be collected from the School office from 7 November to 10 November during office hours.

Students can focus their approach within the school, the local community or the larger scale of ourcountry, and are asked to write a short piece showing how their work addresses the theme.

Entry to the competition is free and is extended to students from All Hallows, St Lawrences, St Josephs, Gregory Terrace as well as St James College.

Prizes: There will be a $300 prize awarded to first place and 2 further prizes of $100 will be awarded to works of sufficient merit.

Judging will be undertaken by an independent professional Art’s worker.
