Labor promises more money for Catholic schools

According to the Australian newspaper, the commitment, which included $250M for Catholic schools in the first 2 years of a Labor government, was outlined in a letter from Opposition Leader Bill Shorten to Church authorities.

According to the report, the Catholic sector says the current SES system is "biased against its parents".

Federal Education Minister Simon Birmingham told The Australian funding for Catholic schools was increasing & the SES system was under review.
