Big Trucks, Big Dreams

Jas completed 5 days work experience working in the road engines services department (servicing trucks). This was a great trade taster for Jas and a great way to explore her career pathway options in this industry.

Bryan Taylor, Cummins Workshop Manager was extremely impressed with Jas' knowledge, skill and enthusiasm for the entire week. "Jas has been working with the Cummins Diesel Mechanics changing filters and doing general maintenance. Jas is very impressive and is doing jobs that a second year apprentice would do, said Bryan."

Amy Jacobs, Manager, Cummins Apprenticeship Program will contact Jas later this year when they have their September intake for apprentices to see if Jas would like to apply for a Diesel Fitter Apprenticeship.

Cummins are one of the largest and oldest Diesel engines companies in the world and cover everything from the smallest trucks to the largest mining machines and also marine applications. They are in over 80 countries and offer training all over the world. We thank Cummins for their ongoing support of our students and St James College.
