The St James College Bursary Endowment Fund was established in 2019 through the Catholic Foundation and the Archdiocese of Brisbane for students who would otherwise be unable to access a St James College education.
The fund is supported by individual donors, friends of the college and most generously by college alumni who attribute the secret of their success in business and in life, to their St James College education.
The program aims to support students who have faced significant barriers in life and financially lack access to the opportunity of an Edmund Rice Education Australia Catholic education at St James College.
Bursary Scholarship applications are for students who would benefit from financial assistance to access a St James College education and who have shown consistent application to their studies and co-curricular participation.
Students awarded a Bursary Scholarship will enrich the community and culture of the college by immersing themselves in the educational pathway opportunities at St James to realise their potential. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students are encouraged to apply.
Administrative assistance, one-on-one support and translation services can be provided on site at the College to help families complete the application forms.
