Students Represent the College at ANZAC Commemoration School Service
A group of St James College students attended the 2023 ANZAC Commemoration School Service on Monday, 24 April at Anzac Square. The solemn ceremony included an Australian Defence Force orchestra and student choir as the crowd remembered those who have served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations.
After the ceremony, students took a guided tour of the ANZAC Square Memorial Galleries. The galley takes students on a journey from WWI to today through interactive displays, enriching their understanding of ANZAC Day and the Queensland war experience.
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."
